Johnny Rodgers Band: I Got the News

Carol Toscano is an award-winning freelance journalist, blogger, and entertainment and fiction writer. In addition to
awards for her editorial work in the non-profit sector, Carol won the 2010 Reverend Mychal Judge Heart of New York Award from the New York Press Club. The Award is named for the FDNY Chaplain whose death on September 11, 2001 was the first reported fatality during the terrorist attacks. Each year, this award goes to a journalist whose work is found to be the most complementary of New York City. Carol has an MFA from the New School University’s highly competitive Creative Writing Program with fellowships from the Vermont Studio Center, Center for Book Arts 2005 Emerging Writers Series, the Spoleto Writers Workshop, and was profiled in the 2010 annual edition of Byline Magazine. Carol's work as editor and designer for the Johnny Rodgers Band on the Rhythm Road South Pacific tour blog was received by a global audience and was selected for excerpts by the U.S. State Department in their January 2011 issue of STATE Magazine.
